overview
In this 6-week internship project with Virgio, I designed an interactive body type quiz to help users understand their unique shapes and make more confident fashion choices. Drawing from social media trends, user feedback, and competitor analysis, I created a visual-first, intuitive quiz experience that prioritized ease of use and inclusivity. The goal was to enhance the personalization of the e-commerce experience and reduce decision paralysis while choosing clothes.
problem statement
“Why doesn’t anything fit me right—even when it’s my size?”
Users weren't just struggling with size, they were struggling with fit. After casual research and polling, I discovered that body shape had a bigger impact on satisfaction than size alone. Most users didn’t know their body type or how it should affect shopping decisions.
research
Trend analysis
Explored TikTok and YouTube fashion content where body shape analysis is popular. Most tools were third-party or content-based, with no direct link to shopping experiences.
User polls & informal interviews
Surveyed 20+ people about shopping frustrations. Majority cited unclear body shape understanding as a pain point and preferred something quick and easy to get an answer
Competitor review
Myntra.com: Data-heavy, but impersonal and too many choices
ThirdLove: Engaging and personal, but specific to bras.
H&M: well made but still tough to make choices
Key insight: Users preferred visual cues and minimal effort over numbers and detailed measurement.
problem statement
Most users struggle to identify their body shape and feel overwhelmed by traditional sizing systems. They crave a fun, easy, and non-technical experience that helps them understand what flatters them—without needing precise measurements or deep fashion knowledge.
Through trend analysis, informal interviews, and competitor audits, we concluded that:
Visual guidance is more effective than numerical data.
Users respond positively to quizzes that are short, interactive, and styled like social media tools.
Personalized clothing suggestions based on shape create a sense of confidence and excitement.

To create a seamless quiz experience that aligns with user behavior and current style trends, enabling Virgio to offer more accurate recommendations and boost user engagement through personalized fit.

After the hand drawn wireframes, I made simple versions on figma got feedback from my lead and went on to make 3 versions of prototype and then the final version got published on the site.
